NCWRCYD regularly gathers, analyzes, and disseminates information
on services and practices relevant to youth. NCWRCYD communicates with State
Independent Living Coordinators and other professionals to stay current
with trends and policies
Web Resources

The Center maintains a web site providing the most current information
on Federal, State, and Tribal policies and practices that effect youth
and their families.

Web-based, state specific fact sheets highlight CFSR, PIP, and Chafee activities.
Newsletters and Publications

NCWRCYD works with nationally recognized leaders in the field of child
welfare to publish best practices and current trends in youth work.

NCWRCYD publishes and distributes Youth Development
Update twice a year. The Youth Development Update provides information
on promising practices in the areas of positive youth development,
independent living, and permanency planning for adolescents.

NCWRCYD publishes YD eUpdate, an electronic
newsletter on youth development, twice a year in the seasons alternate
the publication of Youth Development Update. This electronic publication
is distributed to over 200 recipients via e-mail. The newsletter provides
current news events, upcoming conference notifications, and highlights
of quality web-sites and innovative programs serving youth.
Listserv and Distribution Lists

NCWRCYD maintains the INDLIV listserv that seeks
to enhance communication among professionals working in the field
of independent and transitional living. For more information and to

NCWRCYD maintains e-mail distribution lists of
the State Independent Living Coordinators,
and the FYSB-funded Transitional Living Program
grantees. If you need current address and contact information
for those serving in the IL Coordinator position or any TLP program
that information is available on this website.
